This course highlights hydrogen's global importance in the energy transition, covering production, storage, and usage technologies. It equips participants with skills to advance UN Sustainable Development Goals, fostering hydrogen-powered sustainability.

With Hydrogen being of global strategic importance this course aims to demonstrate the role of hydrogen in the ongoing energy transition whilst establishing critical awareness and understanding of the advanced technologies implemented in hydrogen production, storage and utilization in different applications. This course will provide participants with the technical and business development skills required to take forward and deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals 7 & 11 and create a sustainable future with the hydrogen technology.

On completion of this module, participants are expected to be able to:

  1. Critically evaluate the principles and concepts related to hydrogen as an energy carrier including its production, storage, transportation, safety, and applications across various sectors.
  2. Critically appraise advanced technologies applied in hydrogen energy systems considering opportunities, challenges and future.
  3. Make informed judgements on the viability of hydrogen technologies in different contexts based on hydrogen-related concepts.
  4. Evaluate hydrogen adoption considering factors such as technological advancements, economic feasibility, safety, environmental impact, infrastructure and policy considerations.
